The mounting bushes have just (about 20 miles ago) been renewed with polybush - Bluestone

Encouraging news Ernest, although I'd still be making sure they've been fitted and / or seating correctly....with the rear wheels safely off the ground.
Some good advice and ideas being offered on here by others, as always, so remain patient, open minded and work through them methodically, you'll get there in the end.
And do let us know when you find the cause (we may need your knowledge later on).

Also diff mounting bushes - one of mine collapsed shortly after an Mot and gave the same symptoms.

There's a neat little plaque dedicated to Lord Sutch on the Neuadd Arms Hotel in the centre of Llanwrtyd Wells.
I always give him a silent salute when we occasionally drive past.

Great result John T
And excellent garage work tracing the problem.

Hi John,
Had a similar misfire on my 6 a few years ago. Turned out to be loose / corroded metal joints on the end of a couple of HT leads where they fit into dizzy cap. New joints did the trick.
From your swapping of components, maybe worth investigating the distributor cap, as that appears to be the constant for taking your sparks to cyls 1, 2 and 3? How are the internal pick up points where the rotor arm passes, or there may be a hairline crack in the cap itself? Simple enough to try a good known spare or new distributor cap before delving into the MU etc.
Cheers

Hi Phil
My previous 6 was a red one and my current one is saffron. Having got the 'redness' out of my system, I'm now smitten with the original mustard hue of a genuine 70's colour scheme. It's a keeper and looks great with a black interior and hood.
However, as they say, it's your car and there are no rights or wrongs when it comes to personal choice. There are so many other colour options out there and why should they be Triumph colours.....now there's a thought!
Whatever colour you choose it'll be the right one.

Okay, so this year's IWE may have lost some of its sparkle, however, it was great being there and meeting up with old friends and making new ones. Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers for making it happen.

A very sad day.
He was a regular on our Traws Cambria weekend with many of his Red Rose companions and such tremendous company. His enthusiasm and knowledge for our cars was up there with the best.
The Register has lost another legend...

Wow, one of those double take moments, never seen anything like this done to a 6 before....and it's kind of growing on me
Shades of Corniche anyone?

There's an interesting piece on Youtube (Driving the Beast by The Late Brake Show). It only went on-line a few days ago and the car is being driven around on public roads ahead of the auction. The Youtube video lasts almost 30 mins and is well worth watching.

Several Y Ddraig Goch members enjoyed a run over the Preseli Hills in Pembs, taking in the extremities of neighbouring Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Great weather and scenery made it an excellent drive.
