Hi to all.
Yesterday, when I was replacyng a bulb light in my TR3A Speedometer I have noticed that the speedo cable was completely oiled. Y disengaged it from the speedo and I found a lot of oil coming out from the cable.
My question is: Is it possible that the gearbox oil goes up inside the cable ??????
How can I solve this ?
Thanks in advance.

Hola Arturo! greetings from Fuente Alamo Murcia
I saw your video which was sent to me by Don Elliott in Canada, thought I recognised the terrain.
To answer the members question about the turn signal in his TR3A.
I have also fitted the R&P conversion to my 1958 TR3A, but my upper column half is hollow so I have fitted the horn in the centre of the wheel with the turning signal operated by a stalk switch behind the wheel. I don,t like putting holes in the dash board, nor did I use the superflous heater switch hole in the dash
I have just sent this mod to the tech boys at the TR Register after seeing the same switch featured on page 27 of the current TRaction no.229.
If you are interested E mail me at davelarnder@hotmail.com and I will send some photos.

Thanks to all!
Murray, I have used a small MiniDV camera attached to the hood frame with electric adhesive tape. So simply, but a little bit noisy and of course is not a very hard and safe method. Thats why the camera moves. I´m searching a more effective method. The problem with the turn lights is not with the steering wheel, ss with column. I have installed a steering rack conversion kit and as you know it hasn't a hole in the column for the lights wires. I have use a MGB switch in the dashboard for this purpose.
Stan and Brian. You are right with the sound. Next video I am going to disconnect the camera mic and I'm going to use a small pc mic fixed near the exhaust pipe.
In a few days I'll upload a new video to YouTube with all new "improvements". I'll keep you informed.

Arturo
