Great to see a story about a Standard Triumph car dealer. Just the sort of thing that readers of my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TriumphCarDealers and blog http://vitessesteve.blogspot.com/search/label/TriumphCarDealers love to see

I would be happy to host a copy on my website. http://vitessesteve.co.uk/ to compliment the other info I have about the early cars.

+1 to Alec's comment. I got a set of leads for my Sprint engined TR7 from MrRetroLeads. He made the coil lead to my spec to sort my car for no extra cost. Excellent serve.

A great collection if little frustrating as you have to open the documents before you know what it is.. Incidentally you can view the MotorSport archive for free: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/archive

If you keep your eyes open you may find other jaws to use in the tool Graeme mentions.

I used an analog Gunson Testune multimeter for yeas which does the traditional volts, amps and ohms + dwell and tachometer. Added a digital Draper multimeter 3 or so years ago. The draper has proved itself and was cheap and cheerful.

I have used Speedograph in Nottingham in the past, very good service. http://www.speedograph-richfield.com/
and also claiming close connection to Smiths.

There is a link to the shop on the website: http://www.tr-registershop.co.uk/
Or get a pdf from my website: http://vitessesteve.co.uk/Servicemanuals
I recommend getting both. A real paper copy can be read anywhere. + you can print off pages from the PDF to use use in the garage.

James has annouced:

Since 2004 this site had been serving up SU needle graphs. In October of 2017 the host it used closed its doors. The pain of porting 12 year old code to another host wasn't something I had the energy for.
However, it turns out that the graphs were quite popular— far more popular than I gave them credit for. So, due to popular demand, I've decided that I had better keep this place going.
Please bear with me whilst I port the code across to something a bit more modern.

I have not got model specific info but you may still find something useful in my blog post about Armstrong Dampers: http://vitessesteve.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/armstrong-lever-dampers-explanation.html

Sports Car Supplies Ltd in Newcastle having been dealing in Triumph bits for years. Might be worth calling them for a local recommendation.

Another paint source is the TSSC shop: https://shop.tssc.org.uk/category/paint

I think part of the problem is that the term "Hardness" when applied to metals has several meanings. The resistance to changing its shape usually tested by pressing a point onto the surface, indentation - where diamond is at one end of a scale with talc at the other is just one property.
Other properties such as resistance to cutting or resistance to abrasion are also referred to as hardness. These other properties do not necessarily follow the same progression.

I also hope the factory would have made a tidier job of the fabric top.
