Very nice!

More than I paid for my first TR!

Yes, they should be body colour, but after cleaning mine up, I decided to clear coat them ... I love the polished brass look.

I made the door opening supports from some angle iron bolted into upper hinge and door strike locations. Borrowed the rotisserie. My original plan was to try making one out of a couple of engine stands.

Rod ... still working on this. Can't get at my car just now as in storage still this year. Hoping to get that CAD file opened and exported to something more useful. My cardboard model is also still managing to hid somewhere. All very frustrating, as I should be able to provide help you need. Cheers, Mike

Yep, that is the correct one and it fits fine. Here are some pictures from when I fitted the bumper. There is about 2 inches clearance between irons and body work. Cheers, Mike

My son still had the CATIA file, but not sure he still has access that the software to export it to another format. Here is the file if anyone can access it and manage to export to something more useful.
I have looked for my cardboard cutout I made of the bumper shape and can't find it anywhere. Will keep an eye out for it though.

Here are some pictures of the Moss iron versus my original. As a complete set perhaps they would fit, but certainly were not a match for ones that came with my 56. I did correspond with Moss and they followed up (see attached). I made a cardboard copy of the iron and also had my son do a CAD model of the irons but I can't find either of these.

802-500 and 802-510 January fitment results to poor fitment issue reported to Moss.pdf

I only had three originals, so had to have the four made locally. BTW, Moss does sell some repro irons, but at the time I was needing one, their profile was quite different. Will try to find some pictures. Cheers, Mike

Definitely would not fit on my 56 TR3, so can’t think they would fit a TR2. Cheers, Mike

I recently added some paint code information to the website of Ottawa Valley Triumph club (http://www.ovtc.net/technical-articles.html) ... have a look in Body Work and Paint section. Cheers, Mike

Thanks.

That would be a nice article to read. Cheers, Mike

I know you said you do not want to fit a switch at the MC, but I got frustrated with being unsure of brake light performance, and installed a switch at the pedal. It is essentially “invisible” and now one less thing to worry about. Cheers, Mike

Another happy customer for Bob’s bulbs. I also purchased the white/amber LEDs for the front and they work well. A few dollars (or pounds) is cheap insurance to help be seen in our wee cars. Cheers, Mike

Here is a quick video I did when I installed Bob’s bulbs. The modification was effective enough that I removed that flashing light below the plate. I might re-use the module to flash the centre light though. Cheers, Mike

I’ve had Bob’s LEDs in my 56 TR3 for a couple of years. Great upgrade for brightness and also for having all three rear lights act as brake lights. Cheers, Mike

Looks great ... congratulations and enjoy the drive! Cheers, Mike

When I restored my 56 TR3, I was concerned about that centre clamp and whether the exhaust would rattle against the frame. I used a stainless band style clamp, and made up a "hanger" to hold the system in place under the transmission (this was made from a generic muffler hanger from a parts place). Some variation of this approach might work for you too. Cheers, Mike

I used SAE 30W non-detergent motor oil in my TR6 J-type OD for many years. No complaints, but found it was getting harder to find locally. No longer have the TR6 and my TR3 does not have OD. Cheers, Mike

Small things aside, that seemed like a good buy for someone. Cheers, Mike

I also replaced with a mechanical switch. At the time, I did not want the switch to show, so I installed it to work off the pedal under the dash. Definitely, a worthwhile upgrade. Cheers, Mike
