  1. Thinking back my first ride in a TR was a TR5 owned by a chap I used to work with when I had my first job at the Pru. in Holborn. Probably around 1974/5

I am sure it was a black TR5 and Kyle had a flat in Ealing Broadway. I wonder if he is still a TR man or if anyone remembers him.

Shortish, beard, real ale type......all the right credentials!

  2. Even more fun was had with the top mounting. I decided to epoxy a captive nut and reinforcement inside the top hole drilled in the rear door post ....promptly dropped them both down inside the post! Not a hope of recovering them from that position ....oh well whats another rattle!

I'd be interested to hear how others got around providing that top captive nut.

  3. I am just fitting the same kit to my '4', is there anything wrong with using the lower anchorage point to mount the bottom anchor, and the reel together?

I have used the stepped bracket in the kit to clear the reel from the wheelarch and the bottom anchor is behind the reel and can swivel by using the stepped collar.

  4. I dont know if any of you guys get Triumph World magazine, but they are now running a regular feature every month on Triumphs in Competition ( started Aug/Sept issue )

There are some good pics and they are appealing for more stories, details, events etc.

Worth a look ....if you can find in in the newsagent!

  5. Do you ever get a round at Snetterton Richy?
