You'd have been behind me in the queue Darren.
Thanks for the compliment Pete.
I hope Anthony lavishes love and attention on her and continues to show the car at the IWE.

Glad you found a buyer Jo, although I know you must be sad to see the car go.
If I had had a spare £12K hanging around, I'd have bought it.
Good luck with whatever you go for next.
Cheers, Darren
Thank you Darren,
Next I am buying an Aga and a kitchen. Next year I might get a classic with 4 seats (shock horror).
I fancy a Fiat 130 coupe or a xj12c.
I shall remain a Tr register member as it is an enjoyable experience sharing the craic with like mind d people.

Just to say, car now sold (reluctantly) to a very nice member from London.
I shall miss her and the way she sings with a deep throaty roar.

After many years enjoying the delights & foibles of my golden car it is now time to put her up for sale.
Recent house move and the need to do work to a Grade 2 listed property mean that the horse power needs to be converted to bricks & mortar etc.
I will be putting an ad in the Buy & Sell in the next day or 2. Just having the starter motor rebuilt.
In short it's a 1980, 4.6 litre V8, lightened flywheel, road-race cam, 342BHP, Quaiffe LSD, uprated front brakes courtesy of Revington's, retrimmed in leather, Rover SD1 Vitesse wheels (refurbished), lowered suspension, poly bushed all round, 5 core custom made radiator, holley carb, Offenhauser sports manifold, stainless steel exhaust, mohair hood & cover. Runs on Evans waterless coolant through silicone hoses.
This car has won 1st prize in the TR International Pride of Ownership more than once.
MOT's til June.
59k miles on the clock (new speedo earlier in it's life). 22k in the last 10 years approx.
Lots and lots of history.
I can provide quite a few photos if required.
Offers over 12k

Rover SD1 Vitesse look good; just need to elongate the bolt holes, they are a 5 stud wheel.
-
Mark,
I had my wheel arch lips rolled so the wheel disappears inside the arch. The springs were custom made by for Revington.
I'll measure the ride height and let you know.

You have got to watch out for dwarves in your engine. Can lead to a little trouble.

I put Evans WC in my v8 with no complaints and IMHO recommend it

28-30 mpg out of mine when serviced.
That's with a Holley on a 4.6.
My previous 3.5 on twin SU delivered 30-32 on a motorway run.

Looks promising. If you can, buy it. ????

If you make 2 I'd be interested!

Welcome Ray
I expect you are going to love it with a V8 under the bonnet.
The forum is a wealth of knowledge,
Enjoy your car and your membership.

Hi Robin,
Welcome to the TRR and the forum. Love your choice of car, I hope it brings you many hours of joy and no pain. The forum is a great font of knowledge (not mine), and a source of humour once in a while.
Your local group is worth meeting up with, probably a good social scene.
The IWE (international weekend) is a good place to meet up, chat, show off your car, and generally have fun.

Have you tried Rimmer Bros? I got the centre caps for my sd1 Vitesse wheels from them.
-
I have always thinned waxoyl with White spirit and warmed the can in a bucket of hot water.

Now sold.
Thank you
-
I believe they're standard but I wouldn't swear to it
Sorry

Although not a Grinnall my car has 5 stud wheels sd1 vitesse. The shock inserts are standard TR7, tried sd1 and didn't fit.
Hope this helps.
Wanted (possibly) a nice TR7/ V8
