That is my thoughts
But I was recommended 205 x 50 x 15 all round
Should be fine but the wider track will make the steering heavier.
Not that its light to start with lol

Hi Guys
I am looking for a copy of a 2 page doc that I had a while ago and have misplaced.
It shows with photos the various points to change the steering bush.
Can anyone shed any light on this or supply me with a copy of the doc ?

what are you after malcolm ?
I've got MGF alloys with plain nuts and Triumph centres.
I'll post a pic in the morning and dig out the suppliers info
-
Unfortunately I think your right
Bloody annoying as was advertised as from a DHC and the guy even answered a question from a FHC owner saying it wouldn't fit.
-
Hi there
Thought I had purchased a new front left hand side grill section for my DHC from ebay
However, the bottom edge on the new one is alot shorter than the broken one it was supposed to replace
I can not see any part numbers so wondered if some one could measure the lower ledge.
On the broken one it is also twice the size of the top.
Can someone please confirm which is the correct part
Many Thx

Does that mean I should cancel my order
-
Thats useful to know
Can I use it on Tarmac ? ?

One thing I should mention
I have an idea who may be responsible BUT they would be in alot of bother if their 'employer' find out if you get my drift officer.
Kind of sure that he wouldn't be that stupid but his mates on the other hand.
Hence the CCTV being more of a very visual 'come on then'
Isn't it funny how its one rule for one and one for everybody else.
Envy is a terrible thing
One day everyone will have a TR7

"Seized engine's aren't funny & neither is oil spread all over your drive..."
arhh yes the joy of the 3 hour driveway scrub.
Anyway I'm now investing in 3 cctv cameras and a DVR card for my PC with date stamp.
If someone wants to have another go at least I'll have the evidence for the police.
Shouldn't need too though

I know it sounds crazy but it has deffo been removed by someone.
After a run last weekend I spent an hour changing the carb mounting rubbers
The car was then ticking over on the drive all fine.
I then covered it over and until this morning didn't touch it !!!
I started the car noticed no oil pressure and stopped the engine straight away.
Opened the bonnet and the oil filter was no where to be seen !
Is there any way to electrify the whole car ?? ? ? ? ? ?
-
I promise I'm telling the truth
I have just gone outside to start my TR7 and someone has removed the oil filter !!!!!!!
It was a spin on type
It is no where to be seen and the car was fine last time I drove it (last Sunday)
Bloody amazed what some people will nick !!!
Lucky had a spare in the garage but that didn't save the oil which was pumped out over the driveway !!!

Thanks Malcolm
Have discovered that I can get an 70 amp version that was fitted to the US A/C cars.
This is available new from LSUK for £75 plus VAT
Thanks for the pointers though.
Cheers

As Ally said
Keep going and you will get there.
I got there in the end after 18 months but even for the few sunny days since its been worth it

Can't wait to drive it

Anyone recommend a 'good' insurance company ?
Got a quote for £165 fully comp but no idea if good or bad ?
-
Hey ally
My car will never be mint and is not a prime example.
If mine can pass then I'm sure that yours will
I was convinced that it was going to fail.
Even told the tester that when I arrived
He just told me that he would be the judge
30 mins later it had passed
You may be surprized I was
Now I need to insure it and pay (what a bloody con, its a classic) for the roadtax
