Thank you very much for the proposal. I also have a mandril (universal) and I intend to change it (like all the other wear parts of the engine).

I will measure this disc. The flywheel is in very good condition.

Yes, correct and sorry...

I have to change the segmentation.
Do I have to order standard size segments?

Hello to all,
Does the letter F engraved on the face of the pistons of my TR3A of 59 means that they are in standard size ?
These pistons are also engraved and numbered in order from 1 to 4.
Thank you. -
Thanks for your reply, it's interesting.
By Motolita, the boss is the same between TR3A and Austin Mini. -
Hello everyone,
Is it true that the steering wheel boss kit of an Austin Mini is the same as that of a Triumph TR3 ?
Thank you for your answers.

Thank you for all your answers. my ignition wiring is correctly assembled in order. I did these tests with the air filters removed. there is gasoline in both tanks. I will focus my diagnosis on carburetor number 1 because I think my problem is coming from this side.

Hello everyone,
I am writing these few lines to explain my problem to you.
I have a 1959 TR3A that I am tuning and I am having great difficulty doing so.
The engine only runs on cylinders 3 and 4.
I just replaced the standard ignition with an Accuspark electronic ignition. Both the ignition harness and the spark plugs are new and I now have a nice spark. My advance is well tuned.
Regarding the carburetion, I cleaned all of the jet elements and changed the gaskets. The level of the tanks is good and the gasoline arrives well. The sync of the two carburetors is also good.
And yet I have cylinder 1 and 2 that don't give. I think the gasoline isn't going to the cylinders. I'm sure of it because when I unplug the coils from spark plugs 1 and 2, there is no reaction from the engine, which knocks very hard. Also if gasoline got into these cylinders without an ignition explosion, it would explode in the exhaust under heat, which it doesn't.
Could there be some other reason a valve problem?
What do you think ?
Thanks for all your suggestions. -
Hello everyone,
I have a small problem with my 1959 TR3A. I am currently adjusting the engine and noticed that I could hear very well the suction on the front carburettor but not that of the rear carburettor when the air filters were disassembled. My distribution and my ignition are very well adjusted. The idle is smooth and I just noticed that the car was smoking a little dark, maybe because the mixture was a little rich. Is this normal, or is there a bad synchro between the two carburetors, an air intake, or some other issue?
Thank you for your answers.
Excuse me for the language mistakes, I am French.
