I had the same issue, mainly due to being laden as usually camping is involved, so I put some spacers in at the bottom of the springs at the rear, which don't take long to take out/put in, for weekends when not roughing it.
No experience with the springs you are considering, but the above would save you a fair bob.

Andrew, one year at the Le Mans Classic, it was unbelievablely hot and suffered your issues, couldn't find a shop on the motorways selling frozen peas, but they did have a 12v fan, like you would find in a tower pc, worked a treat.
Never heard of anyone lagging the exhaust and my issue was definitely around the pump itself

New switch arrived thought good value at £15 delivered, all now working well. However subsequently discovered that a Land Rover series 11 has the same switch and readily available at £6 delivered on the bay! Doh

Have put in new plugs guys, Mike looked at iridiums, but had a normal set of NGK's in stock on the shelf lol, what model number are you guys using?
Can't wait till Spa

Do 6's have the foot switch? If so and you have side lights, I am guessing that one of the wires has detached it self from the switch. Ask me how I know, currently awaiting delivery of anew foot switch

Well, plenum off no change, changed plug no change, swaped leads no change, fitted new dizzy cap, new injector went for a drive, better but not completely cured and then a little cough and way hay, full beans.
So not sure what it was really, perhaps not being driven for a while(6 months), old fuel?
Thanks again lads

Cheers guys, really appreciated

Guys
Finally got round to putting the gearbox back in and put interior back in etc
Went out for a long drive, all good on the gearbox/overdrive front, however developed a misfire after 10 miles or so, pulled the plugs 1 - 5 excellent, however no. 6 very sooty but dry.
With it being 6, the last one to get air and given it wasnt wet, I assume that its not getting enough air
so plan of attack is to clean air filter (K&N cone), put in new plug, I have checked butterflys and all working as it should.
Anything else I should be doing? looking at? I do have the air valve so will be looking at that to
All was well initially and before pulling out the gearbox, so a little odd.

I agree Gary it looks like a nice car! What is happening to this forum!

Yes it does Terry, you will then be able to test whether you have a live supply to the switch, if thats good, then check that the supply is leaving the switch when you put the switch on, if thats not the case then you may need a new switch. If both are good, then the issues is in the wiring between the switch and the pump or the earth to the pump (assuming the new pump is good, you can always check that with two wires across the battery).
I am assuming that you have checked the fuses

Met with Pete at ODRS this morning, took it all apart before my very eyes, gearbox all good, OD a complete mess, he was very surprised I was getting any drive at all! Going to have the stag mod on the gearbox and complete overhaul on the OD.
Thanks for all the help/advice, top operation, mine is number 11 in the waiting list of triumph gearboxes/overdrives.
Cheers Drinky

Would something like this suit, if you don't want switches/wires/brackets?
