Thanks Roger.
When I tried yesterday with engine not running, gearbox in 4th, ignition on, at first i could not hear any click from the solenoid. I checked the wires on the fuse box and a double purple on the output side was loose. I refitted it and can now hear the click. Was not able to try car yesterday, but hoping to do so this afternoon. Will come back with result.

Today my TR6 (CR model) has developed a problem with the overdrive (J type). The OD does not stay in one mode or the other, but, switches between normal and OD without touching the switch.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you all for your contributions. It is clear that this part was designed for a LHD car but can work on a RHD. I do like the bowden cable idea as well.

Has anyone fitted or tried to fit the Moss 807-065 emergency bonnet release to a RHD TR6. I bought one and when I offered it up, the release rod will run right next to the steering column near to the battery. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, I am thinking that i might like to have an air-conditioning kit fitted to my UK spec right hand drive, petrol injected TR6 which is a 1974 CR model. Does anyone have any experience with this and who is the best outfit to have this done by?

Hi Mike
It looks like you bombed someone else post that's why you have no replies!
Are you sure your light switch is OFF?
PeteHi,
I am really sorry, I did not mean to "bomb" anyone's posts.
What did I do that was wrong?
Yes, the light switch is off

I have just been told that I have been "bombing" other people's posts. I was not not aware that I have, but if I have, I apologise profusely. Please explain the correct procedure for asking questions

Hi Prefect, No I have not.

Hi RogerH, According to that diagram for 74 TR6, I have the fuse box wired correctly. I think this wiring diagram is for the USA carburetor cars, as I do not see the high pressure petrol pump.

Thanks Roger, Are these UK cars?

HELP please. Any suggestions as to why park lights and dashboard lights come on as soon as I put the green/red wire onto the fuse box?

Hi All,
Anyone have a picture or wiring diagram with colours of wires for a UK TR6 CR 1974 model. I took off my wires to change the fuse box and I thought I had carefully transferred the wires to the new fuse box, but now the park lights remain on.

Does anyone know of a competent PI servicing facility in the north Essex (Colchester) area?

Hello everyone
I want to take my 1974 model TR6 (CR) to someone who is well versed in servicing the petrol injection system.
Ideally I would like to have the lead free kit fitted to the metering unit as I cannot find anywhere in the comprehensive list of invoices from previous owners that this has been done and I would like all six injectors removed and serviced or exchanged for reconditioned ones. The car has the Bosch fuel pump.
I live in north Essex (near Colchester) so ideally someone in this area.
All help will be appreciated.

My TR6 (CR Model) has a notchy accelerator. I have changed the cable and when i move the butter flys by hand, they feel smooth.
The accelerator is only notchy for the very first little bit, but smooth after that.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks everyone. I plan to "attack" this at the weekend.

Thanks TT
You are probably right that it is the Blue/White wire.

Thanks Guys, much appreciated.

Hi, My headlamp main beams have stopped working. 1974 TR6. The dipped beams and side lights work fine. Does anyone know if the main beams have a fuse or a relay that solely works the main beams. My bulbs are good. Any suggestions are welcome.
Intermittent a type overdrive.

Hi Roger, Managed to get the car out yesterday. The OD is not working at all now. I guess i will have to check the inhibitor switch and the solenoid. BTW, I cannot find the relay on the inner left wing there is one relay not two as I see in the pictures
