  1. Hallo James,

for the PI with a Lucas pump and CAV filter, petrol filter inserts have recently been sold, which are actually intended for diesel.

A diesel filter works for a while, but swells up and at some point doesn't let anything through.

An inexpensive alternative is the filter: Mahle KX 23

    Best regards

  2. I have brought mine at

The standard "Blenheim Range" was ok for me. This nylon carpet fits perfect.

A very friendly communication - they send me samples of the different qualities.

A friend of mine brought a fine woollen carpet from John Skinner - perfect material.

Some years ago I got my new hood from Don Hood - good quality and fit.

    Best regards

The nipples on the drive shaft in the hub are impossible to get to unless the shaft is removed from the hub. The other ones in the uj's can be reached if you either grind or turn down in a lathe the detachable head to the grease gun.

  4. @all

thank you for the helpful replies

A large company here in Germany build motorcycle wheels and sell MWS parts too. As a maker of wheels they can handle car wheels excelent.

My mayor questions is the quality of the splined hubs. The very good old ones - the pressed - are no longer available :(

Are the new ones - CNC cut - reliable ?

    Greetings from Germany
