Be careful with this lot, I bought a "RUST FREE" Stag from these guys; it was far from rust free. My fault, I bought it on trust as I couldn't get to see it for myself. I shall not do that again.

Hi Simon
No they don't fit. I do know that Princess 4 pot callipers fit if the holes are welded up and re-drilled. Or ford Capri callipers are a direct fit but are still only two pot.

Hi all
I'm having problems setting the timing. I have the crankshaft pully mark on zero (TDC) and the camshaft mark is aligned, lobes pointing up so valves closed, the No 1 piston is at TDC and the distributor rotor arm points to the manifold bolt. HT leads checked and in the correct firing order But when I check the timing with a strobe it's about 30 to 40 degrees out and still runs like a basterd. What am I doing wrong? Is the problem jackshaft related?
This is a fuel injection engine I've just rebuilt.
Help

Hi all
Decided to take a trip to the UK and give the TR a good blast, I'll be arriving in Newcastle on Sat 5th Feb and driving down to Stoneleigh for the Show on Sunday. What's the chance of meeting some of you?

Hi
I think you need to get some Discovery handles, these have the plates and cams for the micro switches. They are all black as well, so they look better than TR7 ones.
This link might help

My car was also built in 1980 (I can't remember the month) but it has an even lower VIN number TPVDJ4AT200011.

Yes you are right; it would only be for a standard 2.0l engine bay. I forgot about the carb set-up on the 8.
I'm not sure about the colour, I'm more interested in the price he comes up with.
I had promised to send this guy a drawing with dimentions. I was going to send him the drawing that was published in the TR Drivers club mag, but I can't find it now. Anyone have a copy to scan and send to him or me?
I have read that fitting a strut brace does make a big difference to the cars handling, especially in respect to scuttle shake. My car seems to suffer badly from scuttle shake why is this?.

How many would be interested in buying a strut brace for their TR7 /8. I approached a company for a price to manufacture one for me, and obviously it helps to keep the price down if there’s enough for a small production run.
Their web site is : fjperformance.co.uk

Wheel hub adapters 95.25mm to 114mm

Hi all
Has anyone put these MGF wheel hub adapters on a tr7/8 ? Company is called Mike Satur Ltd, selling on E-bay item 190178970831. Thickness of adapters 18mm would this be OK. I'm using a set of MGF wheels at the moment so offset is no problem.
