How proud were we?..after being 4 years on the road following a 4-year restoration we nailed it this year in Redmond. We simply could not believe it and were so grateful to all who voted for our car.. The photograph is of our granddaughter, Noa..20 months old, first time in her grandad Graeme's pride-and-joy and we couldn't get her out of it...she LOVED it!..Sue Cook

HI Ian,
as you say no one was to blame. Things change.
I think the first gathering was at somebodies tent (Jersey Royal!!) and somebody brought drinks along (was that NTC).
That worked well but puts a lot of work on one or two people.

but it’s in Stafford next time I’m told so May be you can all try
oatcakes

I made the mistake of describing them as poor mans pancake when in stoke.
I only just got out alive !!!so I suggest some diversity training before you arrive
Hopefully, travel permitting, Graeme and I will be around for next year's forum meet....we could always bring Labatts and maple syrup with us, adding to the fun....

Wishing one and all a fabulous weekend and catch-up! Sadly, this is the second year we've had to cancel our trip due to the pandemic..but..we have provisional bookings for next year's IWE. We'll try our very best not to wish the year away until then..haha! The good news is we will have the arrival of our first grandchild in December...it will be our BEST ever Christmas present, so we have plenty to think about and to look forward to in the coming months... a baby girl! Love to you all. Graeme and Sue Cook in Canada

Continue to have fun..say hi to the Stelvio Pass for us; thankfully all we had to endure was passing a car towing a caravan on one of those bends! Good luck for the next 3 days Ben and Vicky.

Graeme Sue
Jealous is all I can say
If mine turns out half as good as yours I will be a happy man ,having the extra pair of hands helps.
Right Sue:)
Yup!

Well done Sue , Graeme shouldn't get all the credit, what would he have done with out his little gopher!!!.
Fantastic job well done to you both
Mark.
Thank you Mark! Graeme was ALWAYS dropping nuts, screws, washers...maybe that was because of my presence Anyways, there's something to be said about having a helping hand; I'm thinking of about a week ago when it took 4 of us to fix the bonnet back on!....we were lucky to escape decapitation!
-
Believe it or not it looks in about the same condition as my 74 magenta resto, I couldn't believe my luck !!
Hope the nuts were not too tight Sue ! Lol
Regards
Nigel
It's nice to know that someone else shares our joy! I knocked my elbow once or twice, but then again, I used to be a Middlesbrough street-fighter when I was young ... ..
Notice the black oil stain on my right thumb?

Meet the 'little gopher'. Up until now, the only oil that had slipped through my fingers was cooking oil and moroccan argon oil to make my hair shine! I'm a little bit more agile than Graeme so can quickly retrieve an escaped washer...I'm enjoying it tho'. Graeme doesn't know the first thing about following a recipe and wouldn't know where to put fabric conditioner

Well, we did about a hundred miles today, only one one stop when the coil lead jumped off, easily fixed. Pulls really well with the new cam, much smoother and can't wait to get a few miles on it and see what it can do .
Even the easter bunny was out, only a couple of weeks late!
Cheers
You liked that Easter bunny didn't you?!... I didn't notice it.

Thanks Roger and Mike! I've always had to live like this....and worry that 'one day Graeme will be the death of me'! Lol!

I'll keep supplying the coffee...and the listening ear. Nearly there Graeme

Hi Everyone...Thanks so much for your good wishes.. it's early afternoon here; eight hours behind G.M.T. G and me are off to my favorite Indian restaurant ..wonderful place. They are so generous with their servings that we are forced to bring some of the food home with us...2 meals for the price of one!..so all is good. Looking forward to the International in June when we can meet up again. So miss the U.K. now that we're retired people..waiting for a big win on the premium bonds so that we can buy another property there.. My very best wishes to you all..the 17 year-old!!
