TR Tours - Central Spain Tour - October 2022

Classics on the Road, our Spanish travel partner, have developed a tour of the Gredos Mountains and historical sites specifically for TR Register members from the 3 to 10 October 2022. Join other members for another memorable and exiting tour, this time in Central Spain. This is the third tour they have organised for the TR car club with each getting excellent feedback from members for their attention to detail and professionalism.

In the Central Mountain System, rises the Gredos mountain range, a vast granite mass shaped by glacial erosion separating the Duero and Tajo rivers. The most spectacular features include the Gredos Cirque and Grand Lagoon, with the slender Almanzor Peak towering above them at a height of 2,592, the highest point in the entire Central Mountain System.

Lying mostly in the south of the province of Ávila, but also in Salamanca and north of Caceres, this is a stunning natural landscape dotted with lagoons, gorges, cirques, crags, cliffs and moraine deposits that is also home to the Spanish ibex.

Yet Gredos not only boasts a stunningly beautiful mountain landscape, it is also one of the most fascinating wildlife and flora habitats to be found anywhere in western Europe.

On this 8-day unaccompanied tour, the mountain drives will alternate with cultural visits to some of the most beautiful historical cities and protected villages of central Spain, making it a great mix for drivers and passengers.

A very comprehensive road book with tulip notes will be included, with lots of information, tips and recommendations for lunch, visits and more.
