Inter-club Triumph Weekend 2020
Inter - club Triumph Weekend returns to Stratford upon Avon with new layout for 2020.
The TR Register and Triumph Sports Six Club have announced another joint event for 2020, with the return of the Inter-club Triumph Weekend to Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse over the weekend of 14th – 16th August 2020.
The event follows a record-breaking event in 2019, where both clubs enjoyed higher attendances than at any previous individually organised event.
The event will return with a new format and layout to better utilise the advantages that the venue offers. Visitors will be brought in and out of the venue via two separate crossings of the race course to avoid build-ups of traffic and there will be an additional exit gate to the entry gate used at last year’s event. The venue also has announced improvements to the surfacing to make the track crossings smoother.
Camping enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity at the event last year and so for 2020 will expand into wider areas of the venue with additional facilities to match. Once again, a comprehensive list of local hotels will be provided for those who prefer not to spend the night under canvas and there is a huge range on offer within the stunning town of Stratford upon Avon to suit every budget.
The main layout improvements see the live arena move from the concreted area on the outside of the racecourse to the infield to form the centre piece to the Triumph display area. This not only allows the live arena to be a more integrated part of the show but also enables the AutoSOLO to run a longer schedule.
A new Triumph Traders Village will be created under cover, to ensure all traders and Auto jumblers can easily be found in one central place. The live music marquee will return with even more acts for 2020 and a larger number and variety of caterers will all add to the improvements to the largest gathering of Standard Triumph cars in the world.
The TR Register will also be including the event in their year – long calendar of celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the formation of the club back in January 1970, all beginning with a meet and greet event at Caffeine and Machine, Ettington on Friday afternoon.
