Kennet Valley TR Group - Summer Show - Cancelled until 2021
Kennet Valley TR Group is once again supporting this ever increasingly popular Car Show. Numbers were up last year and with Thatcham Town Council really pulling out the stops with extra attractions this year and, weather permitting, it should be a bumper event.
The theme this year being put together by the Town Council is celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day. In keeping with this the organiser would wish, in addition to our regular friends, to try to attract cars or military vehicles of the 40’s to come along and join in. If you know of any such vehicles/owners please let them know.
The organisers thank you for your continued generosity in making a donation to our charitable funds, it really does help projects in the area which need a bit of support.
As before you can register on line or by post. If by post a registration form is attached and when remitting your form plus cheque please remember the stamped addressed envelope. Online registration can be achieved on www.rotarythatcham.org.uk and a show rosette will be available. Your contribution can be whatever you chose, say a minimum of £5.00, there is no maximum!! Pre event registration enters you for a raffle for a bottle of champers and of course everyone who pays an entry fee receives a show rosette with which you can get a free cup of tea or coffee in our refreshment tent.
We will continue to have a Best in Show rosette plus those for reserve and highly commended. The winners don’t have to be the smartest vehicle, oldest, best turned out etc, the winner could be the most original, a good project whatever. Why do we do that? just to see the surprised look on the faces of the winners. They never fail isn't that true Graham Robretshaw?
