Our first drive of the year will be on Sunday 1st March !

Our first drive of the year will be on Sunday 1st March, so time to warm up those engines!

The total distance will be about 60 miles starting in Orton and ending at the Bowness Boat Museum (The Windermere Jetty). A light lunch will be available en route.

Meet at Kennedy's Chocolate shop in Orton, CA10 3RU. The coffee shop opens at 10am and we aim to leave by about 10.40am.

A relaxed drive of about 40 miles will get us to the point where a light lunch will be provided by about 12.00 o'clock.

Back on the road for 1.30pm we will drive about 18 miles to the end point at the Windermere Jetty, LA23 1BN. The boat museum opened last year in lovely new buildings and in a stunning location. If we have 12+ attendees we will get group rates of £7/head. The museum has an attractive coffee shop so time for a cuppa before leaving for home.

Note:-

1. If the continuing challenging weather means the arrangements need to change then I will send out a further email late next week - if no email then meet in Orton!

2. To help with catering arrangements and also admission to the Boat Museum it would be helpful if you could indicate a) Definitely intend to come along or B) good possibility etc.
