Itinary of Cumbria Group trip to Italy/Switzerland 2019.

Then we have six nights September, 2nd to 7th
i.e. five full days in Bardalino.
Day Ten;- Sunday September, 8th.
Bardalino to St Moritz, via Bernina Pass..............151 £757.00 INC,
Then we have Four nights September 8th to 12th
I.E. Three full days in St Moritz.
Day Fourteen;- Thursday September 12th.
St Moritz to St. Avold via Julier Pass....................340 £83.00 INC.
Day Fifteen:- Friday September 13th.
St. Avold to Coquelles.........................................314 £57.00 £18.00

Now Car Costs;-
Say 3000 Mls. Total at Ave, 30 MPG (More on the Motorways/Autobahns/Autostradas)
(Less on The Italian Passes) = 100 Gallons
@ Ave £7.00 Per Gallon ( We are paying£5.87 at the moment) = £700.00.
Guess at road tolls say £120.00 plus Swiss (£32.00 per year)and Austrian (£8.00 - Ten days) road passes (Vignettes) ................................................................=£160.00
There will be something I've forgotten so call it £900.00 Tops, for Car Expenses.
Good going so far then;- We Have 15 night B & B (Plus I x Dinner) £1969.00.
All car costs;- (Fuel& Tolls) £900.00.
Channel Tunnel (Both Ways) Approx £160.00.
So you now need to add Lunch Dinner costs per couple, Lets Say;-
Lunch @ £15.00 p.p. and Dinner @ £30.00 p.p. that's £45.00 p.p. per day
(Probably on the high side*) 2 x £45 x 14 = £1260.00. plus
2 x £15 x 1 = £ 30.00. = £1290.00 £1290.00.
Best Estimate of a Grand Total......................................................................£4319.00.
*I am probably high on this, certainly eating dinner in the Camponile/Accor type hotels isn't £30 p.p., and you do have a choice from the menu in any of the other hotels, in Bardalino, we will eat out every night, and £30 p.p. is on the high side here also.
N.B;- ALL the accommodation here is reserved at today's prices, exchange rates may vary, up or down!
At this point in time I have reserved Five double/Twin rooms, as detailed above, in all the accommodation mentioned.
Doreen and I will be taking one room.
Ken and Chris Wilson will be taking another,
Clearly that leaves three 'Rooms' to be allocated on a first come, First Served basis,
After that I will do my up most to accommodate any other group members who need to wait awhile before committing, or who, having looked at this, and would wish to join us for part of the trip, OBVIOUSLY, the sooner I know I need any additions, the more likely I am to be able to reserve rooms.

So, The Trip is planned to get most of the boring-ish miles out of the way, to allow us to enjoy the utterly fabulous scenery/driving in Austria, Northern Italy and Switzerland.
We have six nights, five full days on Lake Garda, we need not start the TR's for a couple of days once we arrive, it is all stunning, and Doreen and I can advise on your personal itinery, having stayed in Bardalino a dozen or more times.
When we get up to St Moritz, we have four nights, that's three full days to enjoy our TR's, on some of the best Driving Roads in Europe, - The infamous Italian/Swiss passes,
The Stelvio, Umbrail, Furka, Julier, Bernina, Ofen, Albula, Fluela, and more!
I know this is a long and expensive trip, but hey, you only live once!
Dip in and dip out as you wish, I will do my up most to accommodate individuals.
N.B;- for your information, Doreen will be flying home on Saturday September 7th,
Verona (50 mins. from Bardalino) to Newcastle.
