TR Lincs Group Meeting - July 2019 Venue Change
Unfortunatley, due to circumstances out of our control, we are no longer able to meet at the Black Horse, Ingham. This has, as you might imagine, caused another forced change to our routine, something we seem to be experiencing on a regular basis over the last 18 months or so. Fortunately we have the results of the meeting survey that many of you took time to respond to a few months ago and armed with the output from that and with the added urgency of loosing our Monday night venue, myself, Jane and Derek reviewed your output and have decided to change our meeting regime to reflect the wishes expressed by the membership.
Our next meeting on Monday July 15th will be held at the Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa commencing as normal at 8pm. This is a short notice booking and we do not have a specific area within the Hotel to meet although management have said that we should be able to find sufficient space to gather. If the weather is kind we may even use the terrace.
Moving forward we have decided that during the kinder weather months, April through to September we will hold our meetings on a rotational basis in three areas of the county. The intention is to hold meetings in the North East around the Louth/Horncastle area, North West along the A15 corridor and in the South around the Sleaford area. Hopefully this will give everyone the chance to get to meeting and meet the criteria of those that do not wish to travel too far to attend a monthly meeting.
Doing the less pleasant months, October through to March we will meet at Wragby as we are unlikely to see many TRs out during the winter months and travelling/parking in a modern car is less of an issue on darker nights etc.
Final details of specific venues for meetings are still being worked through but you will be informed well in advance of the location. The meetings will still take place on the 3rd Monday of each month as confirmed by the output of the survey as this day suits the majority of respondents.
We will of course still have our regular TR Lincs 'runs' through the season travelling to all parts of the county and beyond, our annual dinner in February 2020 at Washingborough and our AGM which will take place in March at Wragby Town Hall.
Apologies for having to make changes but as we had no real choice and luckily had the survey output then hopefully these changes will meet with your approval.
