Red Rose meeting Super Sunday 9th June

June's Red Rose meeting includes three options for you to make the most of you TR.

The day kicks off with the option of attending the Big Boys Breakfast Run from Antrobus Village Hall. The event includes breakfast between 8 and 10am with cars departing at 10 for a circa 50 mile run through Cheshire returning to Antrobus Village Hall for 1 where you can stay on for concourse judging and awards OR jump back in the car for a short run of a couple of miles and join us at The Cock at Budworth meeting where there will be the usual banter and updates of all the forthcoming events over the next couple of months and, for those who attended the May Gawsworth event, the draw for two free theatre tickets at Gawsworth. We will be leaving the Cock at Budworth around 2:15 and driving the short distance to the Lion Salt Works Vintage festival where Keith Nuttall has kindly arranged dedicated parking for up to 12 cars. If you haven't been to the Salt Works museum Vintage Festival before it is well worth a visit with steam engines on display plus music, barbeque and other attractions along with the opportunity to go on the guided tour of the salt works. Last year's event was a great success with around 18 Red Rose cars attending filling the allocated car parking spaces and over spilling into the car park - Why not join us for one or all of the three events.

Pre registration for the Big Boys Breakfast is required together with entry fee of £12 for the car and driver. Entry forms are available on Red Rose Facebook page or email Jonathan / Caroline at trredrose@hotmail.com before Saturday 1st June.

Red Rose meeting at the Cock at Budworth will be starting from mid day with anyone joining from the Big Boys Breakfast arriving at 1pm.

Entry to the Salt Works Vintage Festival is free with pre allocated car parking on a first come first served basis. Details of the entry fee for guided tours to the salt museum are available on the museum web site www.lionsaltworks.westcheshiremuseums.co.uk

The Cock at Budworth is a former 17th century coaching inn, which has been recently refurbished with the emphasis on retaining the atmosphere of a traditional country pub with open fires, a rabbit warren of rooms and low beams.

All the food is freshly prepared on site and the Sunday lunch menu features traditional pub food such as Steak & Ale Pie, Fish & Chips, Gammon Steak, the Cock's famous roast and vegetarian options. There is a wide range of ales, which include Holt's Bitter and regular guest ales.

Please join us at our monthly meeting, enjoy a meal, a sandwich, or just a drink, mixed with a good old chat about absolutely anything, not just compression ratios, oil pressures, or your crankshaft end float! Obtain Red Rose group event information and TR Register updates, enter the raffle, view other members cars (and engine bays!), or just relax in the friendly Red Rose group atmosphere.
