Lincolnshire Group - Spalding Classic Car Run

The Spalding and East Elloe Classic Car Club are inviting us to enter their 22nd Annual Classic Car Run.

We will start from Waterside Garden Centre, King Street, Baston, PE6 9NY and take a circuitous route through pleasant Lincolnshire, Rutland and Leicestershire countryside and villages, passing places of interest, using mainly rural roads, to finish at the historic and magnificent Burghley House, Stamford.

Registration will start at 9.00 am.

You will be welcomed with tea/coffee and biscuits. Breakfasts, if required, can be booked directly with the restaurant prior to the event and will be payable to them on the day. Telephone 01778 560000. Cars will start to leave around 9.50 am.

Our lunch halt will be at Burghley Park Golf Club, Stamford, PE9 3JX

The menu for the waiter-served, pre-booked meal, available at £16.95 per person, is attached. Space for those who wish to picnic will be available in our dedicated section of the car park.

The event finishes at the magnificent Burghley House, Stamford, PE9 3JY We have a dedicated parking area and your entry fee includes access to the grounds and garden for two people. Entry to the house can be purchased separately, if required. The Orangery and Garden Tea Room will be open.

As usual, we will present our "Car of the Day" award, voted for by the entrants, for the car they would most like to take home. The winner will receive a trophy to keep and free entry into next year's event. The "Lyons Pride Trophy", in memory of Alan Lyon, a long-time organiser of this event, will be presented as a pride of ownership award by the organising committee and held by the winner for one year.

To aid administration, please return your entry form, meal choices and payment as soon as possible, but please note that cheques will not be presented for banking before 9th May, 2019.
