Cleveland Group - Visit and Tour of Gibson Motorsport
Trevor Teeley is arranging a visit to Gibson Motorsport on Sunday 12th May, at their impressive premises in Low Dinsdale near Darlington.They have two floors dedicated to their racing cars and F1 style simulators for race driver training, and another floor for all workshop activities, including some hi-tec ceramic paint processes. At the time of writing this note, they are advertising six race cars for sale, including a McLaren P1 GTR.So maybe come prepared with a big cheque book!
Groups of visitors (maximum of 8 per group) will be given a guided tour of all 3 floors of the building. Bacon butties and tea/coffee will also be included. The price will be £15 per person. Depending on numbers wishing to visit, tours will commence at 09.00 hrs and 10.00 hrs. Because the establishment is well hidden from through roads, it would seem logical for all to meet at Darlington (probably at Morrisons car park which is behind the Brick Train on the A66 By-Pass) and proceed in convoy.Final arrangements to be made subject to numbers attending.
On the same day, and just 3 miles away, the Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club will be holding their Hurworth Classic Car and Bike Show.It is intended that we call in at this show after finishing at Gibsons Motorsport.
