Kennet Valley Xmas & New Year Bash 2018/19
Kennet Valley TR Group has booked its venue for the 2108/19 Xmas & New Year Bash, this year we are off to the seaside and the wonderful resort or Bournemouth. We have booked the Hallmark Carlton Hotel.
This is a four-star hotel, right on the top of the East Cliff, overlooking the beach and the sea. It is a five minute walk from the beach, ten minutes from the pier and the town centre. It has 76 rooms, 29 of which have sea views, many with balconies. It has a large function room for our dinner and disco with its own bar, with lounges and bar nearby. It also has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, gym, and beauty salon. The rooms are superb and large. It has a 90-space secure car park, often not the case in Bournemouth. 
Typical rate for a double in the summer is £280/night for a standard room. Upgrade for a sea view with balcony £40/night. The deal we have negotiated, for the weekend of Fri/Sat 18/19 January 2019 is:
Saturday night only, Dinner, B&B and Disco, standard double room, £150 per couple. For those wanting to stop the Friday night, B&B, £110 per couple, with optional dinner £40 per couple. You can 'upgrade' to a sea view room, including those with a balcony, £15/night. First to book a sea view get the balcony rooms, after this, you will be allocated standard sea view rooms. The is an option of their sister accommodation should sea view rooms become fully booked and you want to have one.
We have the option of different entertainment from our standard disco, including solo guitar act, duos, and trios, this will be decided nearer the date and by consulting those who want to attend. We will also send out the menu for you to select your choices nearer the date.
