Camb Followers - Houghton Hall & Gardens Viist
Houghton Hall is located about half a mile off the A148 about 13 miles East of Kings Lynn.
The Hall was built in the 1720s for Britain's first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole. It only opens to the public between July & September. Tickets can be purchased for the House, Gardens & Grounds, or the Gardens & Grounds only.
There is a 5 acre walled garden. The Stables Cafe serves hot & cold food. For full details see their website: https://www.houghtonhall.com/
We will be starting from the lay by on the Market Deeping by pass A1175 .at 10-00 hrs. Peter Parkinson is organising this trip and is working out a suggested route which should be easy. He will give people a copy when they arrive.
If people would like a meal before we leave for home, Peter can contact The King William at Sedgford, as they do good food and it's not far away.
Peter Parkinson would like numbers to help sort things out, so if you wish to go please email him at gmparky@gmail.com as soon as you can.
