The Drive It Day Run
Sunday 22nd April 2018
Sunday 22nd April is "Drive It Day". This is the day that The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs would like all owners of classic vehicles to get these out of the garage and onto the roads.
We will do our bit by going to the seaside – Barmouth to be precise.
The outward journey will be a scenic run of approx 80 miles (2½ hours total driving) with a refreshment stop in Llanbrynmair. We will return by a more direct route (approx 60 miles) with a stop at Llanfair Caereinion.
Itinerary: (times are approximate)
| 10:00 | Meet at Costa Coffee, Meole Brace Retail Park, Hereford Road, Shrewsbury, SY3 9NB – turn towards Shrewsbury on to the A5112 from the "Dobbies" Roundabout on the Shrewsbury By-pass (A5/A49 junction to the south of Shrewsbury) and at the next roundabout turn RIGHT into the Retail Park. Turn LEFT at the next roundabout and Costa Coffee is at the far end. BEWARE OF THE TRAFFIC BUMPS – TAKE THEM SLOWLY! |

| 13:30 | Arrive Barmouth & Lunch at leisure |

| 15:15 | Sandcastle judging – Massive prize! |
| 15;30 | Depart Barmouth |
| 16:30 | Stop at Llanfair Caereinion |
| 17:00 | Depart Llanfair Caereinion |
| 18:00 | Arrive at Shrewsbury By-pass Bicton Heath Junction (A458/A5) |
This will be a non-competitive social run and will be conducted under the current guidance of the TR Register. Participants will be required to sign the TR Register's Disclaimer Form.
