South Downs - Summer Run and Best Presented

Summer Run and Our Best Presented Car Competition.

We will be meeting in Jempson's (formerly Budgens) car park in Market Road, Battle TN33 0XB in time for a prompt 10:00am departure. From here, we will drive to the Carr Taylor Vineyard located just outside Westfield Village and partake in a self-guided tour at a cost of £1.50 per person. This includes a leaflet with a map of the vineyard trail. which also takes you through the winery and bottling room, a brief history of the vineyard and their wine making methods. There are also information boards dotted around the trail. Afterwards, you can return to the shop for a cup of tea or coffee and the opportunity to taste their wines.

We will then continue our drive to end at the Two Sawyers pub in Pett where lunch is booked for 1:30pm. Menu choices must be made, and paid for, in advance, together with the costs of the vineyard tour. A menu is attached c/w pricing details for one, two or three courses.

Following lunch, we intend holding our Best Presented car competition in the pub car park. This has been re-arranged due to the showers during our Summer Event a couple of weeks ago.

If you wish to participate, then please advise Graham your menu choice(s) together with payment in full (vineyard tour and lunch) by 13th August absolute latest. We may have to limit numbers so priority will be given to those who've paid.

Payment, preferably by BACS transfer or, either by cash or cheque to Graham when you see him. Cheques should be made payable to South Downs TR Group.

N.B. If you wish to enter your TR for Best Presented only (i.e. not participate in the drive, vineyard tour and lunch) then please come along to the Two Sawyers, Pett Road, Pett Village, East Sussex, TN35 4HB for 2:15pm.
