This year the event is again going to be a basic, fun scatter rally, with Sports connected questions (mostly).

The start will be at The Salthouse, Salthouse Road, Clevedon, BS21 7TY, with the pub being open from 9:15 am for tea or coffee. Start the day with a bracing walk along the seafront!

The idea is that it will be a leisurely start, so the first car won't be away until after 10:15 am. You'll then have 2½ hours to visit as many of the scatter points as you wish—answering pretty simple questions to prove that you actually visited the places—before finishing at the Yatton Rugby Football Club, North Road, Yatton, BS49 4RQ, where an excellent Sunday lunch will be served at about 1:30 pm. Just in case you haven't done one of these before, this is how it will work:

A basic, small-ish scale map with the places marked, along with a list of the places, will be provided at the start. You might also wish to bring OS Landranger maps 172, 182 & 183 if you want a bit more detail (sorry, the area borders three maps!).

Points are awarded for each place you visit and get the question correct (the points allocation will be on the places list and the organisers' decision is final!).

The winner will be the one who scores the highest points within the 2½ hours (there will be penalties for being late). You will not be able to visit all of the places within the 2½ hours unless you break all sorts of speed limits – so please don't try!

There will be an overall (but small) prize on the day, and the event will count towards the C&H Club Championship for this year (hopefully!).

The event is open to non-C&H members as well, for a nominal £5 charge (to cover temporary membership for the day to meet MSA rules). So if you know anyone that has a club-eligible car but hasn't joined yet, get them to come along and give the C&H a try!
