This years October run will be lead by Roy Clough. We will depart from Ower on Sunday 11th October at 10am and head towards our first stop at 12 noon which will be lunch in a private room at Wyke Down Farm. They have a very nice Sunday Lunch Menu. At around 1.30pm we will then drive on to an optional visit of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery.
From the Bombay Sapphire Distillery website,
"Explore the Bombay Sapphire Distillery on your own terms, in your own time. The Self- Discovery Experience showcases the very best of Bombay Sapphire gin and our beautiful, historic distillery. Take in the crystal clear water and beautiful natural surroundings as you walk along the River Test. Step back in time to uncover the fascinating history behind Laverstoke Mill in the Heritage Room.Discover the ten exotic botanicals in Bombay Sapphire gin in the Glasshouses and Botanical Dry Room and then join our hosts as they take you behind the scenes of the unique Vapour Infusion distillation process in the Dakin Still House. Immerse yourself in the history of gin and Bombay Sapphire in the Gin Academy, then your experience culminates in The Mill Bar. Every guest receives a drink 'on the house' in the Mill Bar alongside the beautiful River Test. "
The cost of the tour is £15 with a concession price of £13.50. As a longtime drinker of Bombay Sapphire, I think this is money well spent.
Roy needs to know how many people are interested so he can make bookings.
Please could you email him as soon as possible if you wish to attend.
