A solid and reliable car with balanced engine and huge amounts of torque. Positive and smooth 4 speed box with overdrive in 2,3 & 4.
The engine was overhauled with new pistons and liners, ground and balanced crank with flywheel, overhauled cylinder head with new valves, guides and roller rockers fitted.
Cam was reprofiled to open road specification.
Runs on recently overhauled Stromberg 1 3/4" twin carbs, oil cooler fitted, alternator conversion, 123 distributor fitted with adjustable electronic ignition.
Gearbox overhauled with overdrive - box and gear change is beautifully positive and smooth.
Telescopic rear shock absorber conversion, new front springs, uprated drive shafts and hubs from Racetorations which gives the car a smooth ride especially with the independent rear suspension (IRS).
The underneath and the chassis is in good order and has been wax/oil treated each year.
Front wings restored, rust free windscreen frame fitted this year and a new heritage rear wing in recent years. Some minor bubbling to paint under master cylinder in engine bay - metalwork solid underneath this. Halogen headlamp conversion.
The odometer was set to Zero following restoration, and at 25K was replaced again following speedo head failure.
MOT until August 2021. Some history on file with maintenance records and has been in current ownership since 2008.
