TR Lincs May Day Newsletter
Happy May Day
Well our season has finally got off to a great start. Those of you who attended County Wheels Day at Woodhall Spa on the 23rd of April will know how good an event it was. The weather was excellent bringing out an eclectic range of cars from almost every marque and era. Thanks go to our own Malcolm and Sherry Brown ably assisted by Derek and Alyson Pywell for making the event run smoothly and making sure that the sun switch was definitely on. I have posted a few pictures on our Flickr page which you can view by clicking here. Let's hope this is the precursor to a great year of TR'ing.
Up and Coming Events
Here's a reminder of the events we've got coming up in the next few weeks. Remember for a look further ahead don't forget you can see the complete events guide either by looking at the TR Lincs page on the TR Register website (click here) or download a pdf version (Calendar2017.pdf).
Tour of Lincs 100 – May 14th
Many of you will know of this event organised by the Rotary Club of Sleaford in aid of the Notts./Lincs. Air Ambulance. Entry for this year I'm afraid has closed as they have reached the 100 cars that will cover the 100 miles through Lincolnshire and beyond. If you would like to think about it for next year then take a look at the Tour of Lincs 100 facebook page available here to get a flavour of the day. For those who have booked on, and I know a few of us have, could you drop be an email to TRLincs@yahoo.co.uk to give me an idea of how many and to keep an eye out for you. Who knows I might even manage to make it around this year!
Monthly Meeting – 15th May.
Usual place, Turnor Arms, Wragby, usual time 8pm. See you there.
TR Lincs Run – 21st May
Our May run, kindly organised by Martin and Hilary Farley will set off from Goltho Gardens around 10.30am for a coffee and a chat then off for a 2 hour or so run ending up in Fulnetby for some refreshments. If you haven't already booked on then please contact Hilary (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as you can so that arrangements can be finalised.
There are many more events arranged for the coming year both local and national. Highlights include our visit to RAF Scampton, tour of Northern Ireland, visit to RAF Conningsby with Derby Dales, the IWE at Malvern to name just a few. More details on these and others nearer the time.
There is always opportunity for you to have a go at organising a run as I've said before. Give it a go, it doesn't have to be fancy or elaborate , we just need an excuse to get out there.
If anyone is interested in attending the Revesby County Fair on the 6th of August I have an entry form (Revesby-Entry-Form-Cars-2017.doc). Entries have to be in by the 19th July so I would advise booking on early as I know the event is popular.
Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday
