TR Lincs March 2017 Newsletter
Hi everyone,
As I write this I am reminded on the radio to put the clocks on this weekend, that means it's SUMMER! Thoughts turn to getting the cars out and enjoying the warmth of the sun on our faces and kicking the season off. The winter months have probably seen loads of activity in sheds and garages, and some of it even on TR's. Take time to look at the events calendar available here to see what's planned for 2017. We have a variety of events, local and not so local, so maybe see some of you out and about soon.
We have had a number of TR Register members join TR Lincs from Camb Followers as a result of a review of members carried out by Trevor Sherwood. Many thanks to Trevor for highlighting it and a warm welcome to Simon Maddocks, Stuart Battrick, Mike Grimwood, Clive Braddock and Alastair McDonald all from the Grantham Area, Mr. C Patchett from Newark and Trevor Richardson from Alford.
Up and Coming Events
County Wheels Day (aka Drive It Day) April 23rd
County Wheels Day is being held once again at Jubilee Park, Woodhall Spa. This is probably the first venture out for most of us. We will have our club stand there again this year so that we can all park up. Entry fee is £4 per car payable by the 9th April. If you would like to come along then please contact Derek Pywell (derek.pywell@gmail.com) as soon as you can please. As we did last year we will meet up at the Railway Station Car Park in Metheringham at 10am so that we can all convey in together.

Are holding their Vintage Weekend again this year. The event is open to classic cars and has a variety of attractions with full details available here. It does clash with Donnington Historic but is an alternative event if you don't want to travel that far.
Tour of Lincs 100, May 14th
The annual TOL100 run starts this year from Woodhall Spa. Unfortunately entries have closed now but I know a number of TR Lincs members are taking part. If you are could you let me know (TRLincs@yahoo.co.uk) please to give an idea of numbers.
Sunday Run, May 21st
Martin and Hilary Farley are organising their first run for TR Lincs starting at Goltho Gardens. I expect you have passed this place many times on your way form Lincoln to Wragby for our meetings and never called in. Well now's your chance. The run will end at their home where we will enjoy some refreshments. If you'd like to come along please email Hilary (hilaryfarley@live.com) as soon as you can.
Other Ideas
I am hoping to plan a number of mid-week monthly lunches that will give us another excuse to get our cars out. I know that this is difficult if you are working but I'm open to arranging some mid-week evening runs through the summer. If you would be interested in either please let me know.
Mathew Lambkin-Smith is prepared to organise a mid-week Go Kart night at the track adjacent to Newark Showground one warm and dry evening (he guarantees that!) with a bite to eat afterwards close by. If you are interested in joining in than either let me or Mathew (mathew_lambkinsmith@hotmail.com) and it shall be done!

Oh one last thing, a very early date for your diary, the International Weekend returns to Lincoln Showground on the 29th June to 1st July 2018 and will include again as last year the Triumph Club on the Sunday.
