The TR track day at Castle Coombe, featured in the last TR Action magazine, was great fun for several KVG members, despite Bill suffering noise level issues and Eddie loosing water first time out, which fortunately was quickly resolved. Bill, Dennis & Eddie showed their partners how it's done, whilst Carl and myself braved it out alone. I would recommend it to anyone for a great day out especially as we had great weather.

The weather was very good at the Basingstoke Show, encouraging a very high turnout from both the public and the exhibitors. The event saw several hundred cars, commercial vehicles, buses, fire engines, army vehicles. Also a number of small stalls, traders plus auto jumble. There were about 10 KVG cars with both drivers and partners giving great TR support , plus three or four cars from other groups.

We welcomed Xtrac founder Mike Endean and his wife to the May meeting and he has recently finished refurbishing his TR3. Mike advised there is an open day probably in September at Xtrac which I am sure TR members will be very keen to go to.

With clean car night looming on the 3rd June, I guess some are making use of the May bank holiday to raise the overall appearance. This also involves the effort made to restore and maintain the cars plus showing it to be used regularly for the purpose it was originally built for.

A minor apology from Richard, as we did not lend any people to Glavon for the skittles match, but used an averaging scoring method. This was in fact reported correctly by Glavon so thanks to Glavon.
