Group Leader Report
September - Thornfalcon, I was not there but I believe the weather was against them. I hope any members that did attend were not too disappointed.
Friday evening meeting, both The Rising Sun and Halfway House Friday evenings meetings were better attended particularly the Halfway House, if you get a chance try The Halfway House for food reasonably prised and good value for money, well worth a visit.
Talking of visits we had a number of members from the triumph Club of France over, they were welcomed by Derek and Joe Ramsey, graham Janet and myself from the Devon Group. And spent a few days in Cornwall and as well as a drive over Dartmoor, from the feedback they had an enjoyable time.
It appears that there were a few members from Devon at Goodwood revival this year but not as a group. I for one was there and had an enjoyable time, Saturday numbers in particular were heavy and getting around became difficult as the day went on.I noted that there were more making an effort to dress up.
September 20th Coffee Morning and Sunday lunch, we had a good turnout for the coffee stop with members coming down from mid and North Devon, This was followed by an enjoyable Drive through our Devon Country lanes to the Thelbridge Cross Inn, Thelbridge. A truly lovely day which ended for me having a pleasant drive over Dartmoor afterwards accompanied by Graham Vaggers. Thanks to all those that came.
October - Another good turnout for our October Friday evening meetings, it was nice to see John and Dominique Sharp at the Halfway House Willand, there for the first time, food excellent and great company.
Sunday 25th Coffee morning meeting at Star Inn Liverton, I was pleased that Robin and his wife Ann arrived in their recently purchased TR3A and to meet Matthew who has recently purchased TR4 which is currently at Neil Revingtons having some work done to it.
The Sunday lunch was at the Bridford Inn, Bridford in the Teign valley. The organisers Pete and Jane had devised a route to the Inn, some of which I had not seen before to my surprise. I thank them for all their efforts not just here but throughout the year. The next TRAction to hit our floors after November 9th will be in January 16. So I will take this chance to Thank Roger and Mo Stone who have been a great help organising or recommending venues amongst other things.
