CANCELLED: North Wales Group - Shropshire Weekend

The consensus amongst the working group which carried out the recce for the Shropshire weekend at the Park House Hotel, Shifnal, is that it is highly unlikely restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus epidemic will be eased sufficiently to facilitate us enjoying a carefree weekend together. In any case, the membership demographic is such that a significant number of us may wish to continue with self-isolation to some extent beyond statutory requirements. With these factors in mind it is deemed prudent to take the decision now to cancel the weekend.

As we all made our own individual bookings with the Park House Hotel, it is therefore incumbent on each of us to cancel our own booking and to ensure that any deposit paid or pledged is returned or cancelled. It is suggested this is done in writing / e-mail, and it is perhaps worth a reminder that any booking not cancelled more than 14 days prior to the stay will result in loss of deposit. If a booking is cancelled within 24 hours prior, the first night’s charge is payable. The fact that Park House Hotel appear not to have taken deposits to date does not preclude them from so doing up to cancellation in accordance with the agreed booking terms.
