About Thames Valley
The Thames Valley Group (TVG) was the first Group to be
formed under the TR Register banner on 7th June 1970 and at that time the
membership obviously covered a relatively wide geographical area. However, following the formation of other
local Groups, the current active membership is now centred in Surrey, although
we also have members travelling from London, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire and
Middlesex as they enjoy the opportunity to attend our Sunday lunchtime
Our ladies also appreciate the Sunday meetings and give us
great support both here and on our trips/tours, which is greatly valued.
Our twice-monthly meetings are informal where we enjoy a drink and a chat about a wide variety of subjects. In addition to these regular meetings we arrange:-
Day trips to areas/properties of interest.
Tours in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Attendance at local Classic Car Shows.
Participation in the TR Register International Weekend............
A New Year Lunch and prize giving.
Barbecues at the end of the season and the International Weekend.
Our members' interests cover the entire standard (and sometimes not so standard!) range of TR sports cars and there is a wealth of both experience and expertise within the Group in maintenance and rebuilding of the marque.
Whether you are an existing TR owner or are considering the purchase of a TR, please come and meet us during our monthly meetings, where you will be sure of a warm welcome from a group of like-minded people.
