SEPTEMBER REVIEW

September was another busy month with cars attending Haughton Tower and Cholmondeley Castle where we joined the Shropshire group to create quite an impressive stand! There were also Red Roser's at Victoria Park in Widnes and on The Walled Towns run making the most of the late September sunshine.

The September meeting at the Cock of Budworth was again well attended including some new members, Linda and Peter who came in their TR5 and also Madeline and Eddie who some of you met at TR Fest. A warm welcome to you all and we hope to see you at one of our events very soon.

After the meeting we had a short run to Riverside Organics were we all got rather wet in the scramble to put hoods and umbrellas on the cars due to a very heavy and sudden downpour! Thank you to Mike Biddulph for organising the run and for taking us somewhere with such nice cake!

There was much talk at the meeting about arrangements for this years Autumn Leaves run on the 7th October, Christmas lunch on the 9th December and possible events for next year. Bob Eccles provided an update with regards to the forth coming TR Register AGM and the importance of all members to register their proxy vote – See below

Our next meeting will be on Sunday 14th October at 12noon with pre meeting run from Alderford Lake Classic car meet to the Cock at Budworth– Details above

TR Register AGM – VOTING

Some of you may or may not aware that over the last few months there has been a considerable amount activity at board level within the TR Register, with Paul Hogan standing down as Chairman and Alan Westbury taking up the temporary role until the AGM on 25th November. This combined with the temporary suspension of a Vale of White Horse member and various postings on the forum (some good and some bad) will inevitably result in a change to the management structure of the register.

As group leader of Red Rose I consider my role is to provide an environment where all TR Register members can enjoy their cars, as well as developing a social group based on friendship and mutual interest and also to promote the marquee. This is something that the TR Register and its members have been doing successfully for almost 50 years and with the support of its members it will be able to continue fulfilling this role

I would urge all members to read the most recent articles within TR Action 307 and 308 and form an unbiased assessment of their own and register to vote at the forthcoming AGM. Details of the AGM and how to register your proxy vote is on page 23 of TR Action 308.

RED ROSE WEEKEND 2019

2019 should see the return of the bi-annual Red Rose weekend. Historically we have had strong support from regional groups however the number of Red Rose members attending the event has been diminishing over the last few years. We are actively seeking feedback from Red Rose members to determine if they are interested in continuing with and supporting the event. Similarly we would be interested in any suggestions for venues and offers of support. Any suggestion or offers of support would be greatly appreciated prior to or at the October meeting on the 14th
