TR Action 307 June 2018
Plenty of events going on as you would expect at this time of year. It is nice to display your classic car but a lot more fun if there are activities to experience rather than spending a day simply sitting next to it.
Six of us created a display at the Transport Museum in Coventry on June 10th that was admired by lots of passers-by. We had a great day out and the weather was kind to us. I bulit in some unique mini-tours of the city on the way (OK-yes, I'll come clean-got a bit lost trying to find the way in!) The staff at the museum were friendly and helpful and the museum itself is excellent-well worth a visit, if you haven't been go and have a look!
Our Sunday Run-Out the previous weekendwas a great success-good weather, good pub lunch and some excellent roads and scenery. Thanks to John and Margaret for organising us so well!
A few of us visited Delapré Abbey in Northampton on June 17th, a new event that had around twenty classic cars to view. There were refreshments and clay-pigeon shooting and the day included a tour of the abbey-fascinating history and brilliantly renovated in recent times, again, well worth a visit.
More is in the pipeline, so do get along to our meetings at the Aviator in Sywell if you can!
