Glavon Group Tulip Run with Clues - 5th October 2025

The event organisers, Jim and Penny, invited participants to their home at Colerne for bacon rolls, coffee and cake before setting off at intervals. They had devised a tulip run through some wonderful scenery and included questions to answer along the way. Although there were some lanes, it was mostly good open roads which took us up onto the downs to our lunch stop at The Millstream at Marden near Devizes where the food was excellent. 

It was here that Penny marked the question papers where it was revealed that Chris and Jan Bryant had pipped Andy and Jill West to the post by half a point!

It was then back in the TRs for a very spirited run over the downs via Marlborough and Hackpen Hill to Foxham for tea and cake at The Best Ever Brownie Company's delightful cafe which had stayed open beyond their normal time especially for us.

It was great to have the opportunity to give out TRs a really good blast on the last scheduled run of the season and many thanks go to Jim and Penny for the enormous amount of organisation, preparation and hospitality involved  in making it all happen.
