Every year, the great and the good from the upper echelons of the historic motoring world gather together to recognise the achievements of their peers at the Octane Historic Motoring Awards.

This year, The MG Car Club, TSSC and TR Register teams combined to put together an incredible event that was to mark the memorable occasion of the joint centenary of both the MG and Triumph marques. MG and Triumph 100 took place over the weekend of 10-11 June hosted at the home of British motorsport, Silverstone.

It was a weekend that will live on in the memories of everyone who attended forever and proved what can be achieved when clubs and communities combine to organise something greater than the sum of their parts. It also represented a whole host of Triumph and Standard displays from the Standard Triumph Forum of Clubs and indeed a rich set of displays from the MG Car Club's various Registers to ensure all models were represented throughout the eras.

As a result, this year's Octane Historic Motoring Awards have shortlisted MG and Triumph 100 as finalists for the category of Club of the Year.

A truly international panel of experts has been selected to judge the Historic Motoring Awards. They range from previous winners to some of the most important collectors in the world and each brings unique specialist knowledge and authority to the process, ensuring that the winners truly are at the pinnacle of the industry. The winners will be revealed at the ceremony to be held in the Dorchester Hotel, London on 15th November 2023.

Congratulations to the volunteers who formed the organising team from all three clubs, but in particular to the hard-working team at the MG Car Club's Kimber House HQ who brought the idea to fruition for us all.

Don't forget that next year, in 2024, the three clubs combine again to bring us the Inter Club International Weekend 28-30 June at the Three Counties Showground.
