TR Register Car Club Management Team: Role Descriptions
Assets
- Identify key Asset acquisition or disposal opportunities.
- Manage all club assets, including buildings, vehicles and equipment
- Manage the Club insurance scheme.
- Manage the Club’s intellectual property.
- Manage Club archive material.
- Manage the Club car loan scheme
Chair
- Represent the club within the classic car community
- Chair Management Team (MT) meetings
- Provides commercial and strategic leadership to the MT
- Responsible for the overall effective running of the Club
- Responsible for the financial and legal compliance of the Club.
- Manage office staff, contractors and consultants
- The primary point of contact with Honorary roles.
Events
- Develop an annual plan covering all national and regional events.
- Lead the operational planning, funding and resourcing of national events
- Manage the delivery of national events to meet members’ needs and budget
- Ensuring compliance with HS&E regulations for all national events.
- Coordinate national, regional and local events
- Coordinate Motorsport events with relevant volunteers
Finance
- Responsible for compliance with financial regulations
- Prepare and set budgets for MT approval
- Prepare income and expenditure accounts and cash flow forecasts
- Responsible for the Club’s bank accounts
- Provide key financial reports to the MT and AMM
- Make recommendations to appoint auditors and to manage them
International
- Liaise between the TR Register and international affiliated car clubs
- Represent the TR Register at European coordinators’ meetings.
- Develop and manage TR Tours and TR Trips.
- Develop and maintain the European Breakdown App
- Provide the contact for international clubs or members visiting the UK.
- Provide the contact for UK members travelling overseas.
Membership
- Provide leadership to the Regional Coordinators and Group Leaders
- Facilitate best practices across the regions and groups
- Manage the Regional Coordinator recruitment process
- Ensure an effective Group Leader meeting takes place annually
- Ensure the Youth Group is integrated into the wider membership team
- Find and deliver equitable solutions to any conflicts across the groups
Strategy
- Provide leadership in the development of an effective Club strategy
- Provide leadership in the development of annual business plans
- Provide Leadership on the club organisational structure design and roles
- Identify and deliver effective HR services to the MT
- Provide leadership for translating the strategy into effective plans
Technical
- Develop a strategy for the club to support the parts supply chain improvement
- Organise technical seminars
- Organise local/regional/national workshops on basic TR maintenance
- Maintain TS2 in a roadworthy and reliable condition for members’ use
- Develop a plan to produce technical videos
- Develop a club policy for electric vehicle conversions.
- Act as the focus for the Registrars on the MT
- Develop a succession plan for the Registrars and data transfer
- Develop a plan for the technical archive and its digitalisation.
- Contribute relevant technical articles to TR Action
The MT will choose one of its members to be the Vice-Chair.
