Repeating our annual run to Black Rock sands for a picnic on the beach with our cars. It’s a great run up the Tanat valley, over the Berwyns, and then across one of the great driving roads in Wales to Ffestiniog. Our return is over the Bwlch y Groes pass.

Meeting points this year will be Montford bridge café, Bradford Arms Knockin and the National White Water Rafting Centre between Bala and Ffestiniog. We’ll have plenty of time at Black Rock for swimming, paddling and building sandcastles after our picnic lunch (bring your own, there are no shops or cafes at the beach but there are toilets). We’ll finish by driving to Welshpool for an early Evening Meal at the Raven Inn
