KVG visit to Greenham Tower 'Planes at Greenham Common' Exhibition

Please note this is a date change

Join fellow Kennet Valley Group members for a special visit to the exciting new exhibition at the Greenham Control Tower, showcasing the aviation history of Royal Air Force Greenham Common.

Take off on a journey through time as you explore the incredible aircraft that were once based at this famous airfield. Packed with fascinating stories, authentic artefacts, eye-catching photographs and remarkable facts, the exhibition brings to life an important chapter of our local history. It’s perfect for families, aviation enthusiasts and curious minds of all ages — with plenty to inspire both the young and the young at heart.

Whether you’re revisiting fond memories or discovering Greenham Common for the first time, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience where history truly took flight. We can also enjoy a guided control Tower tour.

Entry is free of charge, and there’s a great café on site — ideal for lunch and a relaxed catch-up with fellow members. The cafe serves a selection of soups, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, savoury pastries and cake.

Why not make a day of it? Bring along your classic TR and enjoy the drive — and if the weather isn’t quite classic-car friendly, your everyday car will be just as welcome.

Open between 11.30 - 15.00. We look forward to seeing you there!

After lunch for those up to it, and weather permitting, we plan a stroll around Greenham Common, look forward to seeing you there.
