LVG & Camb Followers Breakfast

We just cannot stay away, but when something is so good why would we?
Less than a week after LVG ran an All Triumph Day at Shuttleworth, we were back to meet our chums from Camb Followers group for breakfast. Many of the attendees had been to ATD and could therefore take advantage of the 30 day duration of their Museum entry tickets.
The sun was shining and this always brings out activity on the Aerodrome. Cambridge Flying Group were operating one of their Tiger Moths and there was an engine run for a vintage radial engine mounted on the back of a pick up truck (perhaps it was just someone looking for an alternative to ICE or EV powered vehicles😂).

A well known TR7V8 within LVG was the attraction for one pair of visitors. Phil and Nick (father & son) attended in Nicks TR250 which also has a V8 power train installed. Twenty years ago Phil was the owner of the TR7 and now Nick has his own TR, he had just joined the Register and both remember the TR7 from their ownership days. The current owner, Mike took Phil for a spin in the car, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but kept asking, why did I sell it all those years ago?

With TR’s parked in many parts of the site, it was hard to say how many cars turned up, but it was well into double figures.
A great turnout and a great breakfast while we are seeing the last knockings of Summer.

The Swiss Garden was also a lovely tranquil place for a walk and with so much on offer, quite a few people didn’t leave until midway through the afternoon.

The Spitfire wasn’t flying today, but I bet the TR250 V8 flew on the way home!!!
