LVG & Chums on “Drive it Day”

LVG & Chums on “Drive it Day”

Lea Valley Group always get good support for Drive it Day and this year was no exception.

Although not all members can meet up, many get their cars out and about and this year the Group organised a run to Melford Hall in Long Melford Suffolk. Graham Teeson planned a really nice run, with many meeting up at a services on the A505 near Royston, before leaving for the drive and amazingly everyone managed to keep in sight of each other and arrived en mass to meet up with members from North London Group.

In addition to the Group event, others were out and about at Todenham, Moreton in Marsh, Gloustershire and also Poppylands Cafe in Great Yarmouth. We even have a member who now lives in Northern Ireland and regularly flies the flag for LVG. He got his car out to give it a run before it undertakes “wedding duties” later in the year.

TRR TR4 Registrar, Jon Marshall, made himself at home, while he looked for ancestral connections!!

All in all, over 25 cars made it to Suffolk and 9 LVG members had a long lunch at The Crown in Long Melford. It was so good that they stayed 3 hours and everyone returned home safely, with no car issues to speak of.
