Drive Your Triumph Day
This event has grown in popularity since the Triumph Club in America started promoting the 10th February to get your Triumph out and drive it. The date is selected as the birthday of Sir John Black who headed Triumph back in the 1940\50’s and many people said saved the Company from going out of business. Without him there may never have been the TR range of Triumph cars and so it is fitting that the Group celebrate the day by getting our cars out and about.
LVG has good relationships with the local TSSC and neighbouring TRR groups, so they were invited to join us for a drive to The Danish Camp near Willington in Bedfordshire, where we could grab some refreshments, before driving home and putting our cars back to bed in the hope of some dry and warmer weather.
Including TSSC and TRR Camb Followers, we had 20 Triumphs meet up at the camp with 39 people. This is a record for us and even more impressive when you consider it was an overcast February day with rain showers on and off. Long May this support continue and when it does, it means 2024 will be a TRiffic year for the Group.
