LVG - Drive Your Triumph Day

A nice dry day for LVG and their chums to take a drive out to celebrate Sir John Blacks birthday on “Drive Your Triumph Day”. Triumphs and TR’s from the local TSSC joined up for a drive to Scotsdales Garden Centre near Cambridge, where we also met up with TR’s from Camb Followers Group. A couple of moderns also tagged on the back of the convoy making 40 Classic car enthusiasts out in force, with many passers by giving us a wave of encouragement enroute. After a lunch and some retail therapy, everyone made their way home safely. The one casualty, a pimento TR6 who suffered a damaged exhaust from one of the many speed humps we had to negotiate through the local villages, was repaired and back on the road before dark.

Let’s hope 2023 (LVG’s 50th year) will continue with such good attendances and no more breakdowns.
