LVG & Camb Followers at Sywell Pistons & Props

Inter Group activity lives in Lea Valley Group, joining forces with Camb Followers (and even a few North London) members to attend the Saturday of this 2 day show. With our TR’s being part of the show, the organisers charged a nominal £5 per car (£22pp on the gate!!), so great value. Entry to the infield area did take a bit longer than we would have liked, but everything slowly improved. The overcast morning turned into late Summer sun and all 19 cars and their occupants enjoyed sandwiches and ice creams (OK, no food for the cars) watching a few aircraft being put through their paces. The sound of the Spitfires Merlin engine ended the flying display nicely. This was probably the last Group drive of the year, so see everyone at our regular monthly meetings at the Cock public house, until the Spring of 2022 arrives.

There was even time for a nap (note, a CF member was allowed in his Land Rover as his TR was sick)
