Cornwall Group - Prideaux Place Picnic
The annual TR Register Cornwall Group Prideaux Place Picnic is due to take place on Sunday 6th August. The house is near Padstow (PL28 8RP). While it is no longer open to the public on weekends, due to our long -standing friendship with the family, our group is allowed access to the grounds.
The usual toilet facilities will be open, but the café will be closed. The grounds will be at our disposal from 11:00 to 16:00hrs. Please bring your own refreshments, but the option is open for you to find food in Padstow, a short but steep walk from the house. Jim will be feeding the deer herd at 14:00hrs. This is always a highlight of our visit. I am encouraging everyone to invite a friend, or friends, with an interesting car to make the day more eclectic from a vehicle perspective. Would you please confirm your attendance to me by August the 1st. The cost is £10 per car so please have that in cash on the day so I can settle up with Prideaux Place.
If you won't be travelling directly to Padstow, you may wish to join our convoy run. We will meet in the lay-by on the A30 Eastbound at the bottom of Hamburger Hill. This is situated East of Summercourt, but West of the Fraddon turn off. We aim to leave there at around 10:30hrs. and will make our way up the A39 Atlantic Highway to Padstow via Winnard's Perch.
If you are visiting the area, with or without a TR, you will be more than welcome to attend.
