1972 Triumph TR6 CP 150 BHP - UK RHD - £27,500 After 13 years of ownership, I've reluctantly decided to offer my 1972 Triumph TR6 CP 150 BHP for sale, following the purchase of an E-Type. This is an original UK right-hand-drive CP car which underwent a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration, completed in 2014. It has covered only approximately 4,000 miles since the rebuild, but has been regularly used and enjoyed rather than simply stored away. The restoration included a brand-new chassis, with the engine, gearbox, overdrive and differential all rebuilt. The suspension was completely overhauled and poly-bushed, with Koni shock absorbers fitted. The original petrol injection system was reconditioned and upgraded with a Bosch fuel pump. The cylinder head has also been updated and the engine professionally tuned. Further mechanical improvements include Wilwood vented front disc brakes, RevoTec electric cooling fan, alloy sump, stainless steel exhaust system and a distributor rebuilt by Doctor Distributor. The car is finished in stunning Ferrari Rosso Corsa and sits on chrome wire wheels. It is also fitted with stainless steel bumpers and has a mohair hood and tonneau cover. The interior has been sympathetically upgraded with MX-5 seats professionally retrimmed in fine leather to complement the original TR6 style. The original seats are included with the car. A Moto-Lita wood-rim steering wheel and Blaupunkt stereo complete the interior. The underside has been protected with clear Dinitrol wax, allowing the condition underneath to remain visible rather than concealing it beneath a heavy coating. I have a comprehensive photographic record of the restoration, documenting the car throughout the rebuild. Importantly, this isn't a car that has just been restored and immediately put up for sale. I've owned and enjoyed it for 13 years, and it has now covered around 4,000 miles since restoration, giving plenty of opportunity for everything to be properly sorted and proven. The car will be sold with a fresh 12-month MOT. It is located near Penzance, Cornwall, and viewing is very welcome.
