Triumph TR3A, WBY 79, 1959. Original UK Registered RHD with Heritage certificate. Taken of the road with only 37000 miles from new and stored for 30 years. Full body off restoration completed in 2011. Engine rebuilt by Autosprint-a racing engine specialist. Full dynamic engine balance and fitted with a performance camshaft. Chassis upgraded with Revington half rally chassis strengthening kit. New wiring loom, new brake hoses etc. New interior, hood, side screens and tonneau cover. Refurbished 60 spoke wheels professionally powder coated black. Rack and pinion steering. Twin wind tone horns. Overdrive on 2nd,3rd and 4th gears. Stainless steel exhaust. The original registration number has been valued at £2500 by Regtransfers.co.uk. The car was restored by a friend who was well known in TR Register circles and MOT’d in June 2011 with a genuine 37242 miles from new! I bought the car in 2019 with the engine still not run in. The car was recommissioned and fully serviced, including new front suspension bushes, by a well-respected TR specialist in Cornwall. The car has now covered 41000 miles including a tour of Brittany with the Cornwall TR Register Group of which I am the Group Leader. I am regretfully selling the car as I want to make more use of the TR2 that I have owned for 30 years since getting it back on the road last summer. The car although fully resprayed does have paint issues on the wings and doors which could be easily rectified. I have removed the wings, doors ,bonnet and boot lid and they have been professionally glass blasted and primed ready for painting. The whole body is rust free with no filler. Due to an unexpected house move I am not in a position to complete the respray. Could be made a concours car very easily.
